Lobitos Beach: Deserted Surfer’s Paradise

Lobitos beach is situated in the northern coastal region of Piura in Peru. This deserted beach town is very well known for its’ gnarly waves and is a destination.

We had the honor to interview and take some pictures of a lobitos local that showed and explained to us how he makes and polished his surfboards. He mentioned he had made more than 3,000 boards in his time.

This town has an interesting history, once being a town that was an excavation site for oil.

Lobitos Beach has very friendly locals and  an amazing dessert place called Tallaki. it is a friendly hostel that offers breakfast lunch and dinner and even better; desserts. We had an exquisite brownie ice cream cake for breakfast and then decided to go back for the famous chocolate cake, a Lobitos favorite.

All in all it was incredible and a great place worth visiting.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures.
